Day 6: Congratulations

The Stellars Jays stopped by to wish Georgie
& Flapper congratulations.
They have built a nest in the yard and are expecting Stellar babies sometime
soon.

This little guy also dropped by to congratulate
the proud parents.
Two of these birds have built a nest in a jar hanging from the tree, but are
not yet expecting.
(It's a regular suburban wild kingdom here).

The Robins send their congratulations too.
 |
As well as the Crows, Cameron and Russell.
 |
"Thank you for the well-wishes, now step away from the babies or I'll be forced to take you out."
 |
Now the proud parents would like to introduce their babies...
 |
This is Miss Murphy (or just Murphy if it ends up being a boy).
 |
Murphy has the coolest black legs.
 |
And beautiful blue-grey eyes.
 |
"I'm ready for the next bug to come by now."
 |
"This is a really good, shady place."
 |
This is Kozmo Kirby, the twin with the spot.
 |
He picks on Murphy sometimes, and he is the
most fiesty, large one of the bunch.
(Also the most entertaining.)
 |
He eats more than the other two ducklings.
 |
And if you can't find him, check the food dish... he's probably standing in it.
 |
The twin without the spot is named Bingo Baloo.
 |
He does everything Kozmo does, while Murphy tends to go her own way.
 |
"We can all stand in the water dish at once!"
 |
They love hanging out with mom and swimming in the pond.
 |
Looking for bugs is Bingo Baloo's special talent.
 |
And he concentrates on it very hard.
 |
Miss Murphy is sometimes shy about getting in the pond.
 |
And she is also the first one to sound the alarm if anything looks threatening.
 |
You and Flapper have a beautiful family, Georgie.
 |
"Well they're good kids... what can I say?"
 |
"This is my family. We're really lucky to have each other. Thank you for all the well-wishes!"
