Busy, busy, busy

Oh my! It's a busy season around the Flapper household. |

We took a big step and turned down our first orphaned duck. "Just say no!" is our new motto. |
 |
But of course we found him a good home. Here we wait to catch the ferry to Whidbey Island. |
 |
"I hope they have treats at my new home." Of course they will, kid. Anything for you. |
Duck Update: This duck lives on Whidbey Island now with caring humans, a cat, dog, duck, goose, bunnies and two chickens. He is having a little bit of frustration trying to find someone to be his best friend, but in time I am sure he will find the right companion. He is growing and healthy and loved. Most importantly, he's not at my house. :) |

Also new this week, O'Malley has started flying! |

The holiday season is not without it's troubles. Flapper is a bit of a biter these days. Here he bites after Bingo Baloo. |

In other news, we had some visitors this Thanksgiving. Here, Jaycee and O'Malley hang out together on the couch. |

Then they dress up like princesses. (I'm sorry O'Malley. I'll make it up to you). |

We'd better lock that princess in the super-yard so the ducks can have some peace. |
 |
We hung stockings and treat-containers on the mantle for each and every family member. |
 |
Including a new stocking for Ethan, my nephew who moved into the basement and started classes at a new school. |
 |
I was wondering what I was going to do with that empty basement. |
 |
Ah yes. It looks like there's a teenager in the house now. |
 |
Welcome to your new home and new city, Ethan. It's great to have you here. Simon always wanted a little brother. |
