Oh Flapper? Flapper!?

You have a letter or something in the mail, Flapper.

"Really? What does it say?"

Oh my! Flapper! It's pretty racy! Have you been chatting on the Internet again??

"Mmmm no comment."

Well you have quite a nice present waiting for you. I guess I'll bring it out to you. Are you ready for your present, Flapper?

"I was born ready. Bring it on."

"Gasp! FRENCH FRIES???? Fantastic!"

"Everybody has to leave RIGHT NOW. I have a present but I can't share it. GO AWAY!"

"Yeomch, yeomch... mmmm tasty."

"NO KOZMO! YOU STAY AWAY!"

"So... very... tasty. Must... eat... quickly. "

"Whew! Those fries made me THIRSTY."

"So tasty. I love you, french fries."

"My belly is so very happy!"

"Who were those fries from?"

Those fries were from Miss Matilda, who lives in Oregon. She thinks you're "hot."

"Whoa, baby. She's a looker!"

"Hey mom? Can we take a trip to Oregon?" Ha ha, not now Flapper, but maybe someday.

"Hmph. Okay. But please tell Miss Matilda thanks, and um... she's hot too and I'd like to rub necks with her sometime and maybe share some lettuce in the pool and I like her more than french fries... well, almost more." Oh my, Flapper! I'll tell her thanks and leave the other stuff for you to tell her next time you're online, okay?

"Okay. Thanks, mom. Wow, she's pretty."

Flapper would like to say "THANK YOU!" and some other stuff to Miss Matilda and her human Terrie, for the wonderful, thoughtful french fries. Just a note... Flapper doesn't really get the whole box... just a few. The rest he shares with his human, the other ducks, and the dog.

This week I came home from work to find a crow had locked himself in Flapper's pen. I guess he flew in to eat some duck food, then the door swung shut behind him.

We set him free. He was very happy to be out of the pen and back on the power lines.

Hey Flap? You got another piece of mail here. Want to see it?

"What's it say? Who's it from?"

"Quacks back to them. Those are some good lookin' kids."

O'Malley? Are you ready for your big day this coming Tuesday?

"I'm not sure. Am I too shy for kindergarten?"
I think you'll do just fine, O'Malley. This Tuesday, O'Malley will be visiting Ms. Clarrissimeaux's kindergarten class. Here's hoping it goes well and no one gets bit! (Kidding, I think).

"Oooh cool! O'Malley you'll love kindergarten. I promise. Don't worry about being shy."

"Thanks Petunia. Okay... I will try to be brave. Sniff sniff. I hope they like me."
