Flapper Goes to Work
(November 6, 2007)

Hey, Flapper!

"Yeah, Mom?"

Are you ready to go to work?

"Do I have time for a quick shower?"

Sure thing, Flapper. But let's get going. We have a big day today.

"Mom? I already showered. Why don't you take ME to work with you?"

I would love to, Chewy. But you get a little stressed out at the office.

"That's true. Okay nevermind."

"I'll go. You drive."

I don't know if that's such a good idea, O'Malley. You are too good at navigation, and when we get close to home you try to fly out of your car seat, remember?

"Well... there was traffic. I can get home faster if I just fly."

"Why don't you go, Georgie?"

"I'm a duck of leisure. I don't DO work."

"Okay let me dry off. I'm ready now."

"Wait! I want to go!"

You know it involves me picking you up and carrying you around, right Kozmo?

"Blech. Human cooties. No way. Nevermind."

"I'm ready!"

Good. Let's get going or we'll be late.

"Hold on, I forgot my treats."

"Come on, Mom. We'll be late!"

Later...

Flapper had a full day at the office.

Ellie dropped by to feed him some lettuce treats.

Otto was there, too.

And Stella...

And Eleanor...

In fact a whole BUNCH of pets were at the office for Pet Friday.
Our office was voted one of the most Pet-Friendly and Best places to work in the Northwest, and we'll be featured on this Thursday's edition of Evening Magazine.

Here's a preview.

So if you're in the Northwest, watch us!

In other news...

Flapper had to go to the vet for a little surgery in October. He had a recurring personal issue for a few months that just didn't get better.

He spent 3 days at the vet, on and off, but came through with flying colors.

He is all better now and feeling great.
