Eddie's Big Migration

Well, Eddie. Your big day is here. People all over the world donated money to help you get to your forever home in Arizona. Are you ready to fly? |

"Do you think I can fly that far?" |

"Sure you can, Eddie. Just go like this. See? Flap flap flap." |
 |
"Go on. Give it a try." |
 |
"No offense but I've seen him fly. He's better than I am, but he's not ready for the big leagues just yet." It's okay, Flapper. I'm going to fly with Eddie in an airplane to Arizona, and then fly back. |
 |
"Are you sure you don't want to try it my way, Eddie?" |
 |
"Chewy? Talk to the tail 'cause the beak don't wanna hear it. Ha ha, Georgie taught me that. Hee hee." |

Okay Eddie. Getting through security was easy. You may be the first duck they've ever seen, but you're not a security risk. Now we're on the plane. Just stay cool. The people next to us haven't even noticed there's a super duck stowed under my seat. |

"I'M TOTALLY COOL! I'M PLAYIN' IT COOL. QUACK!" Shhh Eddie. Keep it down little buddy. |

Hmmm. In case of emergency, your duck may be used as a floatation device. |

Okay, Eddie. We're in the air. No turning back now. Wow! You should see this view, Eddie. Check out Mt. Rainier. |

"Wow. I've never flown this high before. It's really beautiful." |
 |
Eddie? You made it, little buddy! You earned your big migration wings! We're in Arizona now. Let's go meet your new family. |

Awww, I think you'll be very happy with Janis & Todd, Eddie. |
 |
Eddie is already making friends with Todd & Janis' girls, Dewey & Daisy. |
 |
He gets plenty of lap time with Janis. |

Eddie also gets to doodle in the mud. |

And there's plenty of room to flap flap flap. |

Well, what do you think, Eddie? "I think I'm going to like it here. Flapper said girls have cooties but he was wrong. Dewey and Daisy are really cute. Janis is my favorite for now though. She shares her popcorn. Everybody snores, but I can sleep through it because I was already used to YOUR snoring. I think this is going to work out great." |

With Eddie gone, the cats are enjoying the quiet house. Hodjee is a little bored, but she stays busy by picking on Meelee. |

Flapper has reclaimed his spot on my belly to nap and chat. |

And O'Malley is keeping us all entertained with his new blonde wig. Is it true what they say, O'Malley? Do blondes have more fun?
We wish little Eddie all the very best in his perfect forever home. Be good to Daisy & Dewey, Eddie. And don't forget to write! |

Heartfelt condolences go out to our friends on the loss of their special duck, Jack. Rest in peace sweet Jack. All the best to Quacker, Jack's buddy who misses him. |
