Chewy's Girlfriend Stuffy

Uh oh. What's this? |

It looks like Chewy's girlfriend Stuffy is all washed up. |

"I'll be okay. I'm just a little soggy and dirty." |

Well let's get you cleaned up. Okay, Stuffy? "Really? That'd be great!" I'll have to steal you while Chewy isn't looking, so he doesn't miss you. |
 |
"WRR RRR WR GRRORRG?" Don't worry, Stuffy. This won't hurt a bit. We're going to the basement. |
 |
"WRRT!" It'll be okay, Stuffy. I promise. |
 |
"Um... are you sure this is okay?" Yep. Hold on tight, Stuffy. You'll be as good as new in no time. |
 |
"What is that SOUND?" Stuffy is taking a bath in the washer. |
 |
"You put her in the WASHER?" |
 |
"Well before you get any bright ideas, I can keep MYSELF clean." Ha ha ha. Okay, Meelee. |
 |
Don't worry, sweet girl. I'd bathe you in the tub if you got dirty. |
 |
Wow, Stuffy! You look great! Ready to go back to Chewy now? "Let me just enjoy being clean for a few more minutes." |
 |
Ooooh Cheeeeewy? Look who I found! |
 |
"OH STUFFY! OH MY STUFFY!" |
 |
"I looked for you all over the yard! I was so worried about you!" |
 |
"Don't ever disappear again, okay Stuffy?" |
 |
"NO MOM GIVE HER BACK!" Okay, okay Chewy. I was just going to get her out of the mud. |
 |
"Why don't you give us some time alone, okay Mom?" Okay, Chewy. I'll be over here if you need me. |
 |
"Oh my Stuffy. Where have you been? I missed you so much!" |
 |
"That's okay if you don't want to talk about it. We can just snuggle." |
 |
"Why don't we go back to the nest and take a nap?" |
 |
"Stuffy? I'm so glad you're back home. What's that? Awww, you really missed me too? Hee hee. I love you, Stuffy." |
 |
Chewy has had his Stuffy since he was just a little baby duckling. They are best of friends and Chewy drags Stuffy all over the yard to share in the fun. We're glad Stuffy cleaned up well because Chewy doesn't like to be without her. |

In other news...

Flapper had some kids over to feed him some treats, but we got so busy feeding ducks we forgot to stop and feed ourselves! Thanks for visiting, everyone. |

Once Stuffy was done with the pond, Flapper had a good time splashing around. |
 |

O'Malley Peepers likes to splash in the pool, too. But he's a little shy and doesn't like an audience. |

Flapper has been reading a great book by Gene Baur called "Farm Sanctuary." |
 |
I even got to see Gene speak about his work to clean-up factory farming. |
 |
He even took the time to sign a book for us, too. |

Lastly, we transported a pair of handicapped ducks to a new home this month. Their owner had to move, but they're now safe in a new forever home with other rescued animals. They're doing great and are even making new friends. |
