Fostering and being able to keep them until the right forever home comes along isn't easy. It's tough to say goodbye. So I could use your support and understanding. The only other alternative is to not help them at all. But I cannot keep them. I've helped foster or place more than 20 domestic ducks in the past 2 years (many of my friends place <em>hundreds</em> a year) and couldn't possibly keep them all. Please try to understand it's for the best for both my family and the duckling. I can take them in, raise and foster them, make sure they are not too imprinted on humans and that they learn how to be a duck, and then make sure they have the safest long-term forever home I can find for them. But I cannot keep them. Maybe someday we'll win the lottery and start a duck sanctuary for all ducks. Until then, this is the best I can do.
