Petunia Makes Dinner

Tonight for dinner we had Field Roast’s vegetarian mexican chipotle sausage with potatoes and duck eggs.
The eggs were courtesy of Petunia Peach.

Thank you for giving me your eggs, Petunia. They were very tasty.

“You’re welcome. Thanks for the worms and extra treats in return for the eggs. Can you find me more worms?”
I will find you some wormies in just a little bit, Petunia. How about that?

“Okay. I will wait right here by your feet so you don’t forget.”
Good plan, my little toad stool.

You look like you’ve got something on your mind, Chewy. What’s up?

“If I give you my eggs will you bring me worms, too?”
Um… if you bring me eggs, Chewy, I will definitely give you worms. Good luck with that.

“Yay! Let’s go find some eggs, Flapper.”

“It’s a trick, isn’t it?”
Maybe, Flapper.

“Could I maybe get worms in advance for eggs I find later?”
For you, Chewy? Yes. You keep looking, buster. Good luck!
And special thanks to Petunia for the super good eggs.

Your stories are so funny and sweet, no one could help but love these guys.
Ha ha ha ha, Chewy you are adorable (more about that in a minute:-)
Nothing beats duck eggs, I’m suffering scovie egg withdrawal, mine haven’t layed since october! It’s normal though, I think I can expect eggs every day now.
I’m sort of dreading it too, I don’t have enough nest boxes for all our girls. The Gelder Girls are new and I don’t know where they will start laying, I’m not looking forward to searching all over the yard, so I have to built some nesting spots very soon. Good for you to share some of your eggs Petunia! That is very sweet of you.
Looks like a good healthy and wholesome dinner!
I watched Flappercam for a while last night. The kids were busy walking up and down their pens when I thougt I saw Chewy and Flapper debating inside their little house. They were really at it, I though they were dancing together, didn’t dare to think about them fighting, but it looked that way.
Then I turned my head, when I looked again I saw Flapper appearing from somewhere. But Chewy was still doing what he was doing inside the house.
I coulnd’t see it too clearly but then I figured out Chewy must be playing with Stuffy! Ha ha ha, he was having a good time with his big toy:-)
Hilarious!
No worms for our ducks yet, the ground is frozen and the worms are hdiding.
I hope your kids have more success:-)
Yeah, another story. Last night i was thinking, Tiff, it’s been since 1/8 and we haven’t had news nor new photos, nor any stories. I was going through serious withdrawal. I have to remember to check your Flapper Cam during the day and see what’s going on.
Horrah to Petunia for the great eggs!!!! keep on lookin’ Chewy…LOL
Petunia looks good! Good luck on the worm hunt boys!
Soooo …. when can we come over for dinner? It’s just a few hours by plane, right? Yes, we’re vegan but if Toonie were gracious enough to lay an egg or me, I’d eat it.
Better make sure that she’s not sitting on any hidden eggs. You wouldn’t want any baby Malleys running around now, would you?
I wouldn’t underestimate Choo. He looks like a crafty so-and-so to me. I can see him cutting a deal with Mr. and Mrs. Crow: he gets their eggs to give you in return for a percentage of the wormies and lettuces.
Everything OK with Flappypants? What did the vet say about his butt pic?
Yay! an update! I was so worried about everyone when you were so quiet.
I’m so glad to see someone else eating their duck eggs. I always felt so guilty about stealing the eggs… but they were some darn fine eating!
There they are! I was wondering what was going on at the Flapper house! Now I since Toonie is paying rent, the boys are going to have to find a “real” job so they can keep up!
That photo from above really shows off Petunia’s beautiful chocolate and white feathers. Mahvelous!!!
That was a very fun episode – thank you so much.
That second picture of Petunia is just adorable!
petunia peach is so pretty. how nice of her to make eggs. (good luck chewy) do duck eggs taste different from chicken eggs?
is it me or is mr. flapper always smiling?
looks tasty silly chewy
That is SO adorable. I’m vegan too but I am totally in favour of eating the eggs from your pet chicken and/or ducks. Only way to ensure that they’ve been treated well!
(That dinner looks yummy.)
silly (and funny) human.
