Valentine’s Day in the Yard
Hey, Malley. Do you think you could move your head?

“Me? Why?”
Well I’m trying to take some photos of the other ducks, too.

“Who, Flapper? Just take more photos of me instead.”
Are you having fun swimming, Flapper?

“Yes it’s a good day for swimming.”
“I’m going to get out now. Here I go!”

“Whee!”

“Aaaaand flap.”

Nicely done, Flapper.

Hey Choo Choo. You are looking so handsome today, my buster.

“Aww Mom, you’re making me blush!”

“Did you bring treats for me? I want a muffin.”
Hi Petunia. I will share my breakfast muffin with you, yes.

“Okay good.”

“Wait a minute. Is that a hawk?”

“Let me check. Hmmm… nope. Just an airplane.”

“Back to the muffin.”

“Eeps! I have to run from the boys. Save me some muffin for later!”
You got it, Petunia.
Why’d you chase Petunia away, Chewy?

“I don’t know. I just like to.”
Ha ha well no muffin for you then, buster.

“Will you watch me swim now, Mom?”
You got it, Malley. I’m watching.
“Are you still watching?”

I’m watching, Malley. Nice splashing!
“Super shake!”

Wow, Malley that was a very big shake. Good job, buddy.

While Chewy swims in the big pool, Flapper doodles in the mud caused by the splashing water. It’s nice how they cooperate together to make mud puddles.
They played in the mud and then settled in for a long, Valentine’s Day nap.
Happy Valentine’s Day! — or — Happy Singles Awareness Day! (whichever you prefer) from everyone at Flapper’s house.
XOXOX

they all look very happy
HI there- Well, it’s Valentine’s day for me, but today I’m kinda single becuase my wife’s coworker got thrown in jail and she has to cover for him. We’re having Valentine’s day next week.
Do all the boys chase Petunia? Poor girl. Tell her I’d keep her safe if I were there. Don’t you love how they shake dry? My flapper loves to do that.
Don’t worry too much about Petunia. They don’t really chase her. They do follow her on bug hunts now and then, and she doesn’t like that, so she chirps at them and runs off.
What happened to the worms? i would think worms would be better than muffins. We’re they searching for worms at one time so they could get rewards – or something like that. Course i use to feed ducks muffins all the time. That blue pool is a nice back drop for the Flaps. He looks real nice in there.
i was just reading through the photos again and noticed how much of a gentleman that Flapper is. he left a lot of water in that pool for the other ducks to have their baths. O’Malley gets in there and half the water is gone. LOL
What a great family you have!
I believe that first pic of Flapper in his pool proves he is the Platonic idea of duck.
You are Flapper’s, Malley’s and Chewy’s Valentine.
See, Flapper even performed an Olympic gymnastic landing for you. I’d give him 10 points.
Chewy IS looking extra handsome today, but I love all the photos! It looks like everybody is having a good time and the shots are just beautiful!
One of my Korean coworkers says that Malley “looks like big turkey!”
I had to explain that he is just a very big ducky
Who needs a human Valentine when you’ve got three handsome dudes like Flap, Choo, and Malley? And let’s not forget Simon. I wish I could give all four boys a big ol’ Valentines kiss. (I would give Choo an extra snorgle because I’ve got an extra special soft spot for that lil’ trickster.)
Toonie is hilarious. She’ll all business. I hope she got her muffin after all.
