what should we do today?

“Hi. What should we do today?”
Hi, buster. Well, we could clean your pool.

“Mmmm, maybe. What else can we do?”
Let’s see… we could mow the lawn and clean up your pen a little bit. Does that sound good?

“Hmm… that might be okay. What else?”
Well, we could just sit here and snuggle for a while.

“Oh! I like that idea! Good thinking.”

Snuggling is always a great idea, Flapper.

“I’m pretty good at it, too.”
Flapper had a busy day of snuggling and then when he was done, O’Malley decided it was a good idea, too.

O’Malley is molting right now, so he’s a little cranky. But he still loves to give hugs.

And he is an expert snuggler.
Hope your day was as productive as ours.

Good advice from the duck. A most excellent use of your time!!!
you and your sweet family are so lucky! enjoy!
They are so sweet and affectionate. I love how Flapper rests his beak on you. It must be quite heavy for him.
I enjoy your pictures and narrations so much. Do you take those pictures yourself or is somebody there with you?
We spent a lazy weekend as well, though Peepers the conure kept jumping on me while I was trying to take a nap. You’re lucky that your kids are outdoor birds (mostly).
How’s TooToo doing? Still molting?
Joan: I take them myself.
Dawn: O’Malley & Petunia (and Turk & Rex) will be molting for another month at least. It takes a long time.
What sweethearts! I want a Malley hug.
I want a duck to snuggle with!!! do you have ‘loan a duck’ available for a day?? some hotels have cats available for people to rent for a weekend….
Very sweet. Snuggling is the best way to spend your time. Those kids are real experts at it! Duck hugs are the best, down side is that at this time of year you’ll have a hand full of feathers when you stroke them;-)
Since I have Snuggles and Sophie penned I can’t resist picking them up from time to time to hug them. Snuggles is okay with it and settles down very quickly, but Sophie still needs to get used to sit on my lap, but she’s getting there (after lots of biting:-) Cute pictures.
Thanks for the info. Sending long-distance hugs to the molting crankasaurs (with few extra ones for lovely Lady Petunia).
Sometimes – this website is the only one that keeps me from going completely stark raving bonkers. It settles me somehow.
Things are not always so good in my part of the world.
I wish I could have a Flappy hug and snuggle.
