I love this blog! Always had a giant soft spot for ducks. Have kept them all my life, they are the most entertaining and lovely birds I’ve ever kept.

Incidentally, I had two ducks a year or so ago but had to take them back to where I got them from when I unexpectedly had to move house. But, but but! They came from the home of Stumpy! the 4 legged duck from hampshire in england! I’m sure you are aware of him. Anyway my little angels Piper and Jellybean roll around in the Stumpy crew now! I even got to give stumpy a cuddle when I met him the first time. He is a very handsome and cuddly boy

How good that you found such a good place for Turk and Rex. These people really deserve a medallion. Well done!
In Pipke’s case it was not possible to introduce her to other ducks or to bring her to a sanctuary because I found her in an abounded nest exact at the moment that she came out her egg. She never wanted to be with other ducks! Of course you know that this had to do with “imprinting” but I could not let her die there whole alone! If such situation occured again I would do the same!
She was a lucky duck!

Pasado’s looks like an awesome place. I guess “Hurt an animal, get your head busted” would be too aggressive a motto, eh?

I’m sure Malley the Crankasaur can fill in any vacancies in the huffing and puffing department.

Rex and Turk’s new home looks fabulous! Warms my heart to know that these people have the best interest of the animals in mind. They will be fine after a few days confinement. You made a difficult but very well throught through decision.

I bet it is quiet in the yard now, these guys can make a lot of noise and make their presence felt. I’m sure you’ll miss them but they have had a wonderful recuperation period and I hope they’ve learned some good manners too;-)

It’s so quiet here without those characters! Sorry, Pringles… I did not get a photo of that goose. Maybe I will be able to go visit Turk & Rex when they’re out of isolation. If I do, I will take a photo of the WHOLE goose then. Just for you, Pringles.
