The first thing i thought when i saw the picture of raquel was that it was sure hard to find her face LOL, then i realized it was her butt.

I love the backs of the ducks neck, chewys looks so soft. I wish i could pet it.

Also petunia has such a sweet face : ) I love muscovys that have that sweet innocent face.

We have a chicken at the rescue and it follows my turkey around everywhere. Then today i have a muscovy girl that came in with her man. He has some terrible predator bites, anyway she ditched him for the turkey. You should have seen her. she flew up to the rafters in the barn tonight looking for him and she was cooing and cooing. She went for the biggest male with the prettiest feathers. He just looks over at her like she is nuts.

Woo hoo! Santa must have gotten my list, because at the top was, "Make ChooChoo the Jester Duck all better!"

Simon is definitely looking less ... rotund. I hope his appetite improves.

Lady Petunia is so no-nonsense. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. It's all about the Cheerios.

Hope Malley's bumps aren't serious.

Hey Chewy, we knew all of those kisses would help. There's no better medicine than love! Hope Mally is okay and the rest of the gang, too. Keep your bills up!

Glad to hear that Chewy and Simon are starting to feel better. Sending good thoughts to O'Malley that everything goes well at the vet. I just love the updates on all of the"kids," as well as the beautiful pictures--they always make my day a little brighter. Take care Tiffany, Flapper, and crew and Happy Holidays!

I have used this supplement for my dog who was having rash and itchiness and after a few weeks of this supplement she is doing TONS better. No more rash and itchiness and her hair has grown back and her skin is no longer red and hot to the touch!! They also have supplements for cats! I love this company and they have good products. thought it might be something that you might look into. http://www.dinovite.com/index.php/productGuide/
Best of luck with you and your presh furry and feathery family.

I just found your blog. I'm always excited to find another duck person in town! I am up in the north end of Seattle. I have an old Muscovy drake named Brad and three young chocolate muscovies: Hershey, Cocoa, and Ding Dong. I also have 3 rouens and 4 mutts. This spring I got a couple of geese and then there are the 8 hens. And Dobby, of course. I'm impressed that you have found a vet to treat your ducks- few of them will treat poultry.

Happy holidays to all of yours!

Firstly I'm happy that Chewy is doing better! That is one worry less, but like you say, there's always something, isn't there? But these growths on Malley don't have to be something bad, okay, they don't belong there but I hope it's nothing serious, good to have it checked out. Don't beat yourself up on not having it checked out more last year. First there is the scare about finding something, then you're happy that it's nothing serious and you keep an eye on it but you have to move on because there's always something else (remember?) that needs your full attention. It's how things go.
You do more than you can, so don't blame yourself.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your big boy.

Simon, eat! That's all I can say. I hope you will regain your appetite, you know Christmas is around the corner, so dig in all those treats!
Beautiful Petunia, she always makes me smile, she's such a cute and pretty girl, I'm happy she's doing well and is happy.

Happy Christmas to you and all your sweet kids! May 2010 be a peaceful one with happy ducks and chickens and Simon and many dull moments for Tiffany:-)
Love from all your furry and feathered friends at Foppe's Acre!

Great close ups of Petunia. So glad that chewie is getting better. He sure works hard to get those human cooties off of his feathers. Glad that things are going relatively well for the holidays.

That fuzzy chicken - when you are looking at her bum, you can't tell if there is a head in there or not - like which end is what - unless you say which is what. I love that chicken.
