I am glad to know about the 5 phases of Flapper and to know he is on the mend along with Chewey. Take care to all of Flap's family - human and feathered!!!

Aw, Flappy! I'm stting here applauding. Wonderful demonstration. I like waffles, too (vegan, of course), so I think #4 is my fave.

I'm sorry to hear that the people is sick.

Keep us updated on Da Chooch.

What a great job of charting the five phases of flapper. The pictures are awesome! With our 15 ducks, we thought we'd seen about everything, especially with mating season starting. We have never seen the Donkey Honk before! Might have to get directions from Mr Flapper on how to do this.
Our drakes do, however, do what I call, the drakes bow. They get together, and do this bow, but in truth, it's more of a curtsey, but I'll never tell...
Glad Flapper is doing better and getting his cute on!

Ohh we like you name for the donkey honk. Paulie does that, usually to show off, but Harold has never done it. It's hilarious to see! Sometimes when Paulie does the donkey honk he smoothly transitions into his "swordneck" - which is when he stretches his neck out and runs like a torpedo after humans, usually Dad because Paulie's mission in life is to ambush and chase Dad.

Harold took anti-inflammatory injections as a baby and adolescent when his pneumonia infection went to his knees. He is bowlegged but gets around fine, just a little slower. We hope he is not in constant arthritis pain! But he seems okay...

You know Flapper so well, an d he knows how to get his way too;-) He's a sweetheart. Great series of beautiful shots, the donkey honk is still my favorite, though I love his blush too. Very cute.
I hope you'll be feeling better soon, not much fun being sick.
Best wishes for Chewy, I hope it's nothing serious, maybe he got chased by one of the others and came down wrong. Glad to hear that Flapper is feeling better:-)
