We have bald eagles here too. It was incredible and confusing watching a bald eagle take away my precious Ugg.... a female fawn and white runner. It was such a strange experience to be in awe of the eagle and in total distress for my baby duck. In the end the eagle won. Now I have 2 Campbells, 2 Blue Swedes and 1 fawn and white runner, now named Uggless. Love your blog!
PS: The predator problem has been solved by my wonderful engineer husband, no worries!

Mmm, looks delish. We use Earth Balance a lot. I'd totally eat an egg that Livi laid.

Paper plate = no dish to wash. Awesome.

As a New York City girl, I think it's great that you can look up from your yard and see a bald eagle. Of couse you don't want him/her to hurt the kids. Were the duckies bothered at all? I can just picture Malley now, scowling at the eagle and thinking, "Bring it."

Interestingly, though, I recently read an article saying that bald eagles are making a comeback along the Huson.

Russell is quite the handy yard-buddy. To think you get this Eagle Diversion Service for free.
