Of course Simon likes the heat. I always knew he was some kind of miniature lion. Or tiger. Maybe a liger.

Also, I only laughed at Petunia sitting in the pile of feathers because it was a photo. I’d never laugh at her in person. She’d give me a beatdown, Muscovy style.

Are these pics all from the iPhone 4? I’m amazed at the clarity and accuracy of color.

Petunia looks as regal as ever, regardless of molting. She reminds me a little of the Chicken Lady from Kids in the Hall, though – emitting feathers everywhere.

You can barely tell which end is which on Janet. Silly boid.

Nice to see the gang. Most bird books don’t mention that birds shed the outer layer of their bills/beaks and feet each year, just like their dinosaur cousins.

Petunia is always so elegant…and O’Malley hovering protectively. Love the expression on Simon’s face.

Looks like our heat wave will end tomorrow. YAY!!!

It looks like the aftermath of a pillow fight over here these days. Duck feathers are fun to collect but it was probably more thrilling when we had peafowl!
