Flapper the Biter Duck
(March 20, 2005)
WARNING: Serious crimes of fashion occur in this movie.
Flapper's human does not condone wearing thorlo socks with capri sweats and slippers
outside one's own backyard, and preferably not even there. Watch at your own risk.
Movie Music: "White Bird" by It's a Beautiful Day, 1969
Flapper's human has a history of serious fashion crimes. Here she is at age 2, wearing thick socks
with pajamas. (Early warning signs of serious fashion crimes often go undetected for years).
In other news, Flapper had a very busy few weeks making new friends.
His email box overfloweth! Here are a few of the photos Flapper received...
These are Christos & Jeanne-Claude's Gates in Central Park.
But what are those orange gates in the foreground?
They look like some kind of... snack food?
Mmmm... yummy artist installation! The ducks in Central Park approve.
(I don't know the source of these photos, but they're much appreciated).
Flapper received this photo in response to his Easter bunny episode.
See, Flapper? Merlin from the Bay Area gets dressed up for special occasions too!
Flapper received this ducky drawing from his friend Laura Tullio. Thanks, Laura!
And Flapper fan Chris sent him this historical photo of a duck's first birthday.
Your birthday is coming up soon, Flapper! Better start working on your wish list.
Flapper's Great Uncle Sid took this amazing photo of a Pelican in Southern California.
Oh no! Cousin Brenda sent this photo of her family dog Sedona taking a flying leap
at a wild duck who stopped into the backyard for a dip in the pool.
I guess the wild duck doesn't want to swim with you, Sedona.
Maybe it suspected your intentions weren't quite friendly.
Just beware Sedona, THIS is what happens to pets who mess with ducks.
Flapper recently joined a few Yahoo! Groups about ducks
and found quite a few amazing new feathered & furry friends.
This is Lady Nibbles Niblet McDuck,
a very striking muscovy house duck from Georgia.
And here's Lizabeth the Cayuga from Palo Alto, CA
Pumpkin here lives in NJ along with...
And just in case you thought rabbits and cats don't mix, check out this hidden video
of Squeak grooming Daisy's forehead.
And you thought WE had a full house, Flapper!
And finally, here's Bogie from Indiana. Nice to meet you, Bogie. Quack.
Flapper would like to thank everyone for the email and photos.
It's great to have so many wonderful feathered and furry friends!
