Pesky Neighbor Cat

How are you doing this week, Flapper?

"Where have you been? The neighbor cat is taunting us!"

"He ATE A BIRD right outside of our pen! ATE IT! That's not very nice!"

Oh no Flapper! I'm sorry you and Georgie had
to see that. But you know how cats are.
Maybe he was just trying to bring you
a present.

A very morbid and inappropriate present.
 |
I will talk to the neighbors and see what they can do about the cat.
 |
"Okay good. I'm not worried about me because
I'm really strong for a duck.
But Georgie is very sensitive and she shouldn't have to see things like that."

Speaking of Georgie... she now comes out of the pen and into the yard without trying to fly away.
 |
Flapper and Georgie hang out in the grass and eat bugs together.
 |
Isn't it nice to have a friend around, Flapper?

"Yeah she's pretty cool. She taught me
how to eat grass,
so now you don't have to cut it up for me any more."
 |
"My wings are still way bigger than hers are though, see?"
 |
"My wings may be small, but they are cute. And I can actually FLY with my wings."
 |
"Her wings are pretty cute."
 |
"But I have better looking feet."
 |
"Oh wow she's taking a bath. Check it out."
 |
"Take a picture, Flapper. It'll last longer."
 |
"Do you want to go for a swim with me, Georgie?"
 |
"Uh... I don't think so, Flapper. Maybe another day."
 |
Hey Flapper, she didn't say never. That's progress! Maybe there's hope for you two yet.
